It's safe to say that this matching two-piece number is a little outside of my comfort zone but I can't get enough of it. Fun fact: I was an extra in the movie Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood when I was about ten years old. There are some flash back scenes set in the 1950s, and for some reason, this outfit kept reminding me of being on the set. Of course, this number is a little shorter than what you would've probably seen in that era, but either way, I get a vintage vibe when I wear it.
The two-piece set is designed by Rove and Roam, a clothing company based out of Wilmington, NC. I love local brands, so I absolutely adore that these pieces are made right here in my beautiful town. These pieces were custom made-to-order by husband and wife design team and owners Sergey + Lesley Tamaev. This is the first time I've ever worn a matching set, but now I can't get enough. I love the crop top and shorts together - and the pattern, aptly named sunset floral, is what sold me on this set.
I decided to swap out the matching top with a basic white tank and my go-to denim jacket. Little note about this jacket - I accidentally ordered a petite size (I'm only 5'5 but that doesn't really classify as petite) but liked how it fit so I kept it. I asked Stephen to hold it for me one day, to which he responded, "Isn't this for a child?" Fail. It is a smidge of a jacket, but I still like it. I know I'll be mixing and matching both of my Rove + Roam pieces all summer long.
