Headbands of Hope

Where did the weekend go? Another quick one spent with great friends. Stephen and I went to the movies on Friday night (a story coming soon on that one...), spent some time with my best friend who was home for the weekend from Oklahoma, and went to a beautiful bridal shower for a friend on Sunday. I just love this time of year so much - warm weather, time spent outside, and such fun events. I'm also kicking off my birthday week, so that's pretty fun, too!

Today, I'm excited to share a great North Carolina company that is founded on a great cause. Jessica Ekstrom, a North Carolina native, saw a way to give back after working for a wish-granting organization and noticing how many girls liked to wear headbands after going through chemotherapy. Headbands of Hope provides one headband to a child with cancer for every headband that is purchased. In addition, the Hope Market offers accessories like hair ties and necklaces and purchases benefit a different cancer charity each month. Headbands of Hope has been featured on The Today Show and in People Magazine, among many other publications, and I hope that this business only continues to grow. Get a gift for yourself or someone else - and in turn, give the gift of hope!
