Loving Lately:
Best new shoes - I mentioned last week that I had ordered these tennis shoes. If you're looking for a neutral pair - you need them! I am in love.
Resort - It may be chilly out but I will admit I'm dreaming of warm beaches and pretty dresses. Check out the Resort tab under Shop or click here to shop beautiful warm-weather looks.
Sweater weather - How adorable is this sweater? I love the cross-over look and it's under $50.
What a busy January it has been thus far! I thought we were going to get a great snowstorm this weekend, but it was a steady 33 degrees and raining aside from a few snow flurries on Saturday afternoon. I'm still holding out on there being another snowstorm between now and spring, but I am headed to the mountains in a couple of weekends to go skiing with some friends, which I'm excited for!
How exactly are we almost to Thanksgiving week? It has been an incredibly quick month and I know how quickly the days between now and Christmas will fly. I'm trying to savor every second of this holiday season as it's truly one of my favorite times of year. I also have my first bridal event this weekend - a joint ornament shower with two of my best friends who are also getting married next year! I'm looking forward to seeing friends and family on Sunday (after cheering on the Wolfpack at Carter Finley this Saturday!).
September already? August was certainly good to us - the highlight? Stephen and I getting engaged, of course! We're starting the wedding planning process which is really exciting, and I'll be sharing some of the process here on the blog. My family kicked off September with a Labor Day trip to New York, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I was not the best blogger while I was there - I planned on taking outfit photos, and we snapped a few the first full day, though I'm not sure I'll ever share them because I looked...interesting...in most of them. I ultimately decided I wanted to just enjoy the trip sans camera, and I'm really glad I did. So for now, I'm back with another volume of Coffee Date.
What a month it has been! July ended with a big work event and vacation to the Bahamas, and August kicked off with work prep for several more big events. In addition, Sophie has been sick off and on for the last month, which has resulted in several vet trips and us still trying to figure out what's going on. Luckily, she's back to her normal self for now, so I'm hoping we'll be avoiding the vet for a little while (although we love the everyone at our vet's office!).
Happy Friday! It's safe to say I'm happy the weekend is here. At the moment, I'm on the second and final day of a big work event, and though though this event is a very rewarding experience, it'll be nice to take a deep breath this evening. I'm also happy to be back with the fifth edition of Coffee Date, chatting about some of my recent purchases from the #NSALE as well as this fun Q+A that I first saw on Biana's blog. I always love getting to know my favorite bloggers a little better - so here's to answering the Only One Q + A.

For Volume 4 of Coffee Date, I'm taking it a little more personal and talking about the struggles of insecurity that come along with blogging. I like to think that I'm a fairly confident person, but realistically, that is not always the case. I've gone through periods of my life that I've doubted myself immensely. Weight, looks, career, success - they've all played parts in the struggle of believing that I'm good enough. Throw in a fashion blog and all of a sudden, there's a whole new battle thrown into the mix.

Happy April! Where did March go? I'm still in awe of how quickly 2016 is flying by. I'm excited to share my second volume of coffee date, where I answer some frequently asked questions and share some of my favorite tidbits. I have also been slowly but surely crossing off my 101 in 1,001 list items, so head over here to check on the updates.
