Coffee Date: Volume 3 + Shopbop Sale

Volume 3 of Coffee Date is a conglomeration of things - answered questions, May goals and the surprise Shopbop sale that ends today! I love sharing these kinds of posts - so any questions, interests, etc., let me know!

1. What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D3200, though I would love to trade up camera bodies soon. I just purchased the 50mm f/1.4 lens and I absolutely love it.

2. How did you start blogging?
It was very random - I had been reading a few blogs off and on, so one morning during Christmas break, I went to the Blogger website, quickly picked a name, and did a post - and then went to lunch about 30 minutes after the start of that little project with my family. I didn't have a real purpose and I didn't heavily pursue it until about a year and a half into it, and now here we are.

3. Is blogging your full-time job?
Haha no - though wouldn't that be fun? Blogging is definitely still a hobby for me, and I work full-time for a residential and golf country club as a manager and real estate broker.

4. What is your favorite restaurant in Wilmington?
I have so many restaurants I love to go to - but for someone from out of town, I would almost always recommend Bluewater. The food is good but the ambiance is great - located right on the Intracoastal, it's a perfect setting at Wrightsville Beach. And on Sundays during the summer, they have live music too.

I've also had some questions about a few of my favorite pieces for spring:

These shoes are so comfortable and such a steal (under $30).
This swimsuit top in stripes has been my go-to so far. I want it in every color.
Just purchased these earrings - yes please!

A few of my favorite links from the week:
This one with my mama - Happy Mother's Day!
This pretty office update.
It's birthday month, so I'm loving this flamingo-inspired party - even if it is meant for a little girl.
It's also been awhile since I shared some of my goals, so I'm actually getting them typed out for the month of May. May is a busy month - my birthday month! - so I'm definitely going to need to stay on track to get everything done.

Photography | I have always loved taking photos, so I've recently started pursue it a little bit more. I took engagement photos for some friends as well as senior photos for a Meredith College graduate, and I have a few more things in the works for the summer. I want to continue to grow that - and you can follow along on Insta here and like the Zia Photography Facebook page here

Working Out | How is that bikini season is here? It feels like just yesterday that I was doing PB and envisioning a rock hard bod by summer. That hasn't quite happened, so I'm aiming to continue my goal of 4+ barre classes a week. I also just purchased this bike, so I'm looking forward to summer bike rides.

Office | I have a room in my house that was supposed to be a home office of sorts as I originally thought I was going to work from home before I changed jobs. It has my desk, all of my wrapping paper (I have an obsession), paperwork and personal info, etc., but it also has boxes of things I need to get rid of, things I need to go through, and this bookshelf that I have yet to put together. That is definitely on my list of things to do.

Front Yard | After apartment living for so many years, I actually have a yard to take care of now. My mom bought some plants for the front yard this week, so I need to spend time planning, planting, and taking care of them. I have major pinterest goals that probably won't happen anytime soon (and it takes time for the plants to grow up to full stature), but I'm excited to give the front of the house an update either way.
A pop-up surprise Shopbop sale? Yes, please. Shopbop is giving 40% off select pieces with no code necessary and there are so many great items on sale - this dress is one of them. It's the perfect time to stock up on summer pieces. And my favorite Miller sandals are on sale in the cork version - trying to resist getting these too!
