Tone It Up

I've started the Tone It Up Bikini Series, and it has really made me excited to work out! I normally am not a huge fan of the gym, but that has changed since starting this workout plan. Because there are specific goals and set workouts for the day, it's easy to plan your workout and set aside that time.

It's Week 3 in the Bikini Series, but it's not too late to start! I jumped in a little late, but that's only motivating me to work harder so I can see results.

Here's a peek at this week's workouts:

Monday:
Cardio -- 3 miles
Bikini Body Routine

Tuesday:
Cardio
Bikini Arms
The Best Ab Routine

Wednesday:
Making Waves Cardio
Bikini Booty Routine

Thursday:
Cardio
Under the Sea Workout
Flat, Fit, Sexy Abs

Friday:
Cardio
Love Your Body Yoga

Saturday:

Sunday: 
Bikini Body

*Cardio: What I love about Tone It Up is that Katrina and Karena give other alternatives to running for cardio. I am a terrible runner, so I tend to walk/jog/run, and I could never run 3 miles straight, that is for sure. Other alternatives for cardio:
Biking: Divide your miles by 3. ex. 9 miles = 3 miles
Swimming: Multiply by 3! Ex. 1 mile swin = 3 miles
Beach Babe DVD: 40 Minute HIIT = 4 miles!

The Tone It Up girls have also set a goal to do 100 miles by June 21st! For you runners, you might even do 150! Because I started the bikini series a little late, I have some catching up to do, but that's pushing me towards my fitness goal!

Of course, a toned body results from both working out and a healthy diet, so I'm working to implement more clean eating -- even when it's hard!

If anyone else is currently doing Tone It Up or wants to join in, let me know! We can keep each other accountable with our workouts!

It's also easier to stay motivated when you feel good about yourself at the gym!

  4. The TIU girls are so cute!!! I wish I had either of their bodies! LOL! I need to look into that Best Ab Routine... I'm horrible at finding new ab workouts! Oh and I love the Forever 21 dolphin workout shorts, I've been wanting those for awhile now!

  5. I was doing this too! But I ended up switching to blogilates. I loveeee the TIU girls but I need someone to tell me exactly what to do every single day, and I need those directions to not include the gym. So I do like six of the blogilates videos a day and I've honestly seen killllerrrr results!

  6. I love the TIU girls! I tried to do the bikini series last year but totally failed!! I really should try again.. I've been having such a hard time finding time to work out lately but that's just excuses. Love the idea of the 100 by June 21st challenge! I can handle that!

  7. I've been doing this on the days I don't do bootcamp at the gym, so about 3 days a week. I LOVE these girls, I'm ready for their show to return :) Such great workouts and not super time consuming.

  8. B & I love Karina and Katrina!! We started the Bikini Series day one and did the workout plans consistently for the first week - but I feel like we've been so busy after work the past two weeks. I love how the workouts are fairly short, but they definitely work!! We did two videos the other night & are still sore!! So happy you're doing the Bikini Series too!! It's perfect because our birthday is the day before the first day of Summer!

  9. I love the TIU girls! I too started this just last week. I am mostly doing it for the 100 by summer. I am not the best runner but I am trying to change that and hope this challenge helps. Good luck with this series!

  11. Love Tone It Up ... I first learned about them on their Bravo show. I think I may want to jump on board with the Bikini series. I just finished my first year of law school, and working out had been put on the back burner - definitely need to get ready for summer. Thanks for all the info re: the plan.
