A gift guide for guys has come highly requested! Sometimes I find it hard to be creative with gifts for Stephen as we've been together for 10 Christmases (and his birthday is two days after Christmas) but every so often, I manage to surprise him! Our first married Christmas, I got him an Xbox (which I had adamantly told him I didn't think he should have - ha!) I often tend to get him clothes but I've found that he genuinely enjoys getting them as they're not always something he picks out for himself.
Gifts for my dad can be hard as well, but this year I think my brother has a few ideas up his sleeve.
Here are a few ideas that may help you with shopping for the guys in your life this year!
- Vest - I always love finding a good vest for Stephen. He's hot natured and with our mild climate, he often reaches for a vest over a jacket.
- Barrington Laptop Bag or Luggage - I've been slowly adding to Stephen's Barrington collection and I think he genuinely really likes each piece. Due to the leather quality, some of the pieces are more of a splurge but the items I would suggest are the laptop bag and leather duffle. He also uses the dop kit every time we go anywhere and I most recently added the garment bag to his collection!
- Speaker - I feel like this is one of those things on every single gift guide but a portable Bluetooth speaker is such a great item to have.
- Concert Tickets - We are always talking about how we don't attend enough concerts. Does the guy in your life love music? Find a favorite artist and purchase tickets! It's a gift you can experience together.
- Tech Gloves - These tech gloves look great and are by The North Face - they could be perfect for our trip to Colorado!
- Socks - When you were little, socks never seemed like a great gift but I love getting socks in my stocking now. Make them fun ones, and that's even better!
- Leather chair - This is certainly a splurge but if your husband or dad is wanting to upgrade "his" chair, Pottery Barn has some beautiful options.
- Wine/Beer Club - Is the guy you're shopping for a beer or wine connoisseur? Subscribing them to a wine or beer club could be a great gift!
- Harry's Razor - I put this razor in Stephen's stocking last year and he still loves it.
- Duluth Trading Undies - Another good stocking stuffer that was a recommendation from Stephen himself haha! Duluth Trading offers a selection of underwear for men so if you need a stocking stuffer that's a little more personal, this is a good one.
- Leather Wallet - Sometimes a guy may want to pick out his own wallet, but I've given both my dad and Stephen wallets in the past that they used until they were worn out!
- Portable Charger - Stephen and I both use our portable chargers (stocking stuffers from my in-laws) and they make such a great gift! I always pack mine on trips when I'm not sure if I'll have access to an outlet.
A few other great gifts that aren't on the list:
- Lake Pajama sweatpants - Stephen gave me a second pair of Lake Pajamas after I couldn't stop raving about the pair I bought and now they have launched a men's line! These sweatpants look amazing!
- Personalized artwork - I have a few local artists I use for my art gifts and have gifted my dad a few pieces in the past! Alley Hunt Art created a gorgeous canvas of my dad's boat that he has displayed in his home office.
- Coffee shop gift cards - My husband has his favorite coffee shops he likes to make a quick stop in on the way to work, so adding a few gift cards to his stocking is always a win.
- Weekend Experience - Is there something your boyfriend, brother, husband or dad has been wanting to do? Plan out a fun weekend and surprise them with it on Christmas morning.

It's that time of year where I love spending hours on Pinterest looking for holiday decor ideas! This year, I decided to create a Thanksgiving tablescape that would easily transcend into Christmas (especially considering our Christmas tree is already up!). Vietri kindly sent me a few pieces to compliment what I currently already have and I love the way everything turned out!
I've loved Vietri for years - I worked in a gift store in high school that sold the line and fell in love with it then. We received so many gorgeous pieces of Vietri for our wedding and I love mixing and matching to create different looks throughout the year!
For the center of the table, I used a faux eucalyptus garland I found last year and accented with these adorable pumpkins. Once Thanksgiving has passed, I'll store the pumpkins and add in a few mercury glass votives for a holiday look.
We already had the gorgeous ruffle chargers (and we also have this pattern for Christmas) but thanks to Vietri, we added this vase, these wine glasses, and these bud vases to our collection! I'm hosting a girls night ornament exchange in December and can't wait to put all of these pieces to good use!

Merry Christmas Eve! The next few days will be filled with family time and I am so excited to take it all in. It's been a busy holiday season at the shop as retail at Christmas is always a bit crazy (thankfully), so I'm looking forward to a few days off spent with my Stephen, Sophie and our family.
There's nothing like sharing our Christmas home tour 2 days before Christmas (I took these photos 2 weeks ago!) but I did want to document our 2018 holiday home. Our Christmas tree is the same one we've had for the last two years (this makes year #3) and I have a feeling that we'll put it to good use next year as well. I decided to use a lot of our decorations from last year bt accent with a few blue ornaments.
A few things I snagged this year included our reindeer trio (I have the small, medium and large) and our stockings. Stephen and I opted to just do stockings this year because a). we really don't need anything and b). we are planning to take a trip in the next month or so (location TBD) so that was our gift to each other! The stockings I ended up purchasing are huge (laughably large) but I love them and can't wait to use them for years to come and they're now on sale! I also got this mini nativity set for our console table and I absolutely love it. I can't wait to set it out each year.

Happy Monday! How we're already close to halfway into December amazes me! I know the days leading up to Christmas are going to fly by, as this week, we're hosting our supper club, on Saturday, my family is having a Christmas party, and then on Sunday, we leave for New York City! And then when we get back, it's head first into Christmas time!
We put our Christmas card in the mail this week, so I'm excited to finally share the first card from Stephen and I as a married couple! This year's card was probably the easiest it could ever be, as I knew I wanted to use one of our wedding photos for our card.
How is Christmas week here?! I think I am in denial, though I still have plenty left to do before Christmas Day. I will 100% have my Fresh Balsam candle lit + Christmas carols in high swing at work this week. Oh, and don't forget all the Hallmark movies on repeat. I feel like we were just heading into November and now we're about to close out the holiday season.
It is safe to say I've done most of my Christmas shopping online this year. Between a busy season at work, Christmas parties and events, and wedding planning, it has left very little time for shopping in store - and as terrible as it sounds, as much as I love Christmas, I don't love the crazy shopping crowds on the weekends! I do want to spend some time looking at Christmas lights this weekend because this holiday will have come and gone before we know it! I honestly can't believe it's only a few days away.
Happy Monday! How is a new week already here? This weekend flew by: wedding shower, Christmas shopping, ornament exchange, my sister's production of Babes in Toyland, and lots of Christmas shopping. I can't get enough though - I absolutely love time time of year. It was nice to spend Sunday evening eating dinner with my family and then relaxing with Stephen. And speaking of relaxing, if you know me, you probably know my obsession with Capri Blue candles. Bevello carries them, and often has one lit in the store, so I would smell them every time I was in there to shop. It wasn't until I gifted one to a friend that I realized how much they were so incredibly worth it. I've given multiples to friends, bought them for myself, and been gifted them, and I will never get tired of CB.
Stephen asked me in the car on the way home from dinner if I was going to relinquish my Christmas spirit for a little bit -- I was singing Christmas songs and didn't even realize it. This year's holiday festivities were just so wonderful, which made the ending of the holidays that much more difficult. Each year, we normally celebrate in different segments. We spent the Sunday before Christmas at my grandmother's house, Christmas Eve at my grandfather's, and then on Christmas morning, it was just the my mom, dad, sister, brother and I opening gifts and eating breakfast before my grandparents and aunts and uncles come to eat lunch and exchange presents.

This dress has been my favorite so far this Christmas season. I couldn't resist it when I saw it a couple of months ago at Marshall's, and I knew I would wear it either to a wedding or our company Christmas party. I opted for the wedding and loved how the look turned out. The pleated detail is so fun and flirty, while the high neck keeps it classic. And who doesn't love that color? Wishing I could re-wear over and over again.
