When I came across this jumpsuit, I knew it was one that needed to be in my closet! I absolutely loved the structure of it and the fact that it was black, meaning I could get so many uses out of it. I paired it with these heels that I wore for my engagement party and loved how the combo turned out! It's definitely the perfect piece to have in your closet for those events when you're just not sure what to wear.
One thing I am considering is getting it tailored. Though I like this look, I would love it to be a little more form fitting through the waist - I was tugging on it all night - and I would also love for it to be a little more cropped (clearly I don't have the height the model has in this photo). It also comes in a gorgeous cobalt blue and a navy.
Oh, and a funny story about this one... I was responsible for making bouquets for the princess pageant, which is where I wore this look. I had just steamed my jumpsuit and put in the back of my SUV in an effort to keep away the wrinkles. I had also decided to wear comfy clothes to the auditorium so I wouldn't risk getting flower residue all over me or wrinkle it while driving across town. All great efforts, right? Wrong.
I pulled out of my driveway and heard a horrible sloshing sound. Also in the back of the car was the giant bucket of flowers with just enough water to make a mess but not enough to hold it steady - my mistake 100%! I ran back inside, started blow drying my jumpsuit, and finally gave up, grabbing a few other dresses just in case this one ended up with water spots. Lucky for me, it dried perfectly and there was no evidence of the turn of events and the show went on!
