Save the Date

It's incredibly hard to believe that we are in our wedding year, and today, I'm excited to share our Save the Dates! I have always loved Minted.com's products, so I immediately gravitated towards their designs when it came time to pick out our cards. There are so many great options to choose from (it's also where I ordered our Christmas cards), that it was hard to finalize a design!

When it came to a vision for our save the date cards, I had no clue what I was going for until I saw this picture. I saved close to 20 of my favorites as options for us to use, but I kept coming back to this one. What I love about this photograph is that Kate, our photographer, captured a real moment with Stephen and me. While we were taking our engagement photos, this man stopped and stared for a few before slowly walking directly in front of the her camera. Stephen was making jokes, and eventually, I just couldn't hold back the laughter anymore, which resulted in this picture. It will always be one of my favorites because it is so "us."

Before I one hundred percent narrowed down the pictures, I found around 5 different formats that I loved and filled them with pictures that worked accordingly. Ultimately, the combination of the gold foil and the photograph in this card made for exactly what I was wanting and something I knew I would want to frame for our home.

I also knew I wanted the front of the card to be one picture, but loved some of our other photos that I decided to include info on the back of our Save the Date as well. I loved this option because it gave a place to showcase 3 more photos as well as a message to our guests + our wedding website.

I actually still have a few more to send out (I didn't order quite enough and our guest list has grown in the last weeks), so that's on my to-do list for this weekend! (P.S. Did any of you brides have a minor heart attack after sending yours out?! It made me think, Well, we can't elope now!)
