Positively Inspired
I've adapted a word for this year: positivity. It is so easy to get caught up in stress or shortcomings that it's easy to look over the positives, so this year, I really am going to try to embody positivity. Anytime I feel like complaining, I'm going to try to find a positive in the situation. Other goals: working on my fitness, spending less and diving into my closet more, reading more books. And in this blog, I want to continue to stay positively inspired. I definitely have goals for 2015 -- better posts, growing Southern Style's following, perfecting my photography -- and I want to continue to stay inspired.
paparazzi
This is such a great article that gives tips for perfecting blog photos. It focuses mainly on photographing objects or rooms, but there are some great tips that I definitely want to put to use.
morning boost
I've been making a protein smoothie most every morning {sharing a recipe next week}, but here are other great ideas to help boost your metabolism. The key: drink water!
windowpane
This week, Pamela shared her take on the windowpane, and I am in love. I have a oversized windowpane sweater that is so cozy, but I could definitely use her dress, styled as a skirt, in my closet.
skinny taste
I am trying to diligently to work on meal planning and healthy eating, but my sweet tooth always gets the best of me. With chilly temperatures, it's hard to imagine eating a chilly dessert, but it's hard for me to resist ice cream, especially if it's skinny cake batter.
shopaholic
One of my goals for the year is to not spend so much money on shopping. Being a style blogger, it's so easy to get sucked into the materialism of it all, and though I can't completely resist picking up something new hear and there, I am definitely going to be shopping in my closet a little bit more. Be prepared to see some things on repeat, but the wanted lists will never end.
Happy Weekend!
