Thankful

When I think about what I'm thankful for, I always come back to one word: home. To me, home isn't just a place. It's a feeling, a state of mind, something that makes me feel whole. Home represents my family, which is the most important thing in the world to me. It represents an area that I love so much. It represents a place that has given me a roof over my head for years. And it represents a table to go back to, where I can share a meal with all of my loved ones surrounding me. Even though I don't reside in this place 24/7, it will always call me back home.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for...
... my family. Stephen. my friends. my home. my sweet pup. food on the table. good health. a warm place to rest my head each night. my job. this blog. I could continue on and on, but it all comes down to this: this week, and every week, I am thankful for the life I have been given, and I will work to appreciate every aspect of it, no matter when life seems tough.

Give thanks with a grateful heart. - 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Happy Thanksgiving, my friends.

  18. So gorgeous and such a great list! This is my second holiday season away from the "home" I grew up in...my parents downsized and moved into a condo. At first it was really tough, but their move has shown me how true your sentiment is. Home is all about your state of mind and the people you love! Happy Thanksgiving!
