A Spring 5
It is finally starting to really feel like spring! I'm hoping this random cold-weather days are long gone -- until fall! I've been looking forward to this weekend for quite awhile. Not only am I headed back to the east coast, but I am also hosting my cousin's bridal shower and I'm so excited it is finally here!
1// Bridal Showers
Madison and I are only 3 weeks apart, so we have always been both cousins and friends. We grew up together, did beach trips, vacations, and the like, and even went to the same school until we moved to Wilmington. We don't get to see each other nearly as much, but I am beyond excited to be able to stand next to her on her wedding day. Excited for a fun kitchen shower this weekend!
2// Shower Favors
Here's a sneak peek for the shower this weekend -- just as little favor, we are doing candy-filled mason jars, going along with the mason jar theme of the invitations.
3// Garden Parties
On Tuesday, I shared a little bit about the North Carolina Azalea Festival. Today is the Garden Party, which is most certainly the biggest party of the festival! The Summerall Guards from the Citadel perform, and so many people, both Wilmington locals and visitors, spend the day at Airlie Gardens eating Southern food, drinking, and enjoying a gorgeous part of Wilmington. It is killing me that I'm missing it -- but work calls, and I'll be taking off a few days next week for a little mini-vacay (details next week!).
4// Pretty Drinks
How gorgeous are these Coconut Strawberry Daiquiris?! With this warmer weather, these look like the perfect accomplice to an evening on the porch.
5// The New Look
Last, but certainly not least, I am beyond pleased with this new look of Southern Style. Thank you all so much for the sweet comments yesterday! So glad you love it as much as I do.
Hope you have a great Friday!
