Cheers to an almost new year! 2015 was a pretty big year for me, full of mostly ups but a few downs as well. I survived working full-time and getting my real estate license, said goodbye to my beloved Nonny, moved once again, but this time back to my beautiful hometown, quit my first "big girl" job and left behind some amazing co-workers, started a new job, celebrated 5 years of dating with Stephen, and many more things in between.
A few blog highlights? Some great collaborations with some of my favorite brands, having liketoknow.it repost a couple of my instagram photos, and having "blog friends" turn into "real friends." And the biggest blog highlight? That people still choose to read Southern Style every single day - I will always be thankful for that!
I took some time this week looking back through all of my style posts - not only is it nice to see certain goals come to fruition, but also to see how far I've come, how far I want to go, and reminisce on what my life was like when those photos were taken. In almost every post, I can remember exactly what was going on in my life. In this post, I was taking real-estate class every weekend while working full time and hoping to get home before the sun set so we could snap photos, and in these photos, I was trying to keep up a smile even though I knew my time with Nonny was coming quickly to an end. And in these photos, I was enjoying my first day on the beach in the Bahamas, thankful for time with my sweet family. Whether happy or sad moments, it's nice to reflect on where this year has taken me.

I really loved how this look turned out. I love olive paired with neutral colors, so when I ordered this oversized sweater, I knew I had to pair it with these colored pants.
This was in the middle of my real estate class. I had actually worn this look to class, my best friend who was also taking class with me snapped a few photos not too long before the sun set.
This was my first time working with French Connection. It was early spring and I was elated to have a collab with a brand that I adored so much. This was also my first event with Emily from Life with Emily and Shelby from Pretty in the Pines.
I ordered this skirt for our family trip to the Bahamas and was obsessed with it. So comfortable, but I felt effortlessly chic. I love reminiscing on this trip - my family needed this time together with just the 5 of us and it was so nice to just relax together.
I love this dress! And it's still in stock. I wore it for a girls' night out for one of my best friends' birthday.
My mom snapped these photos on our last morning in New York City. We had such a fun long weekend and I wasn't quite ready to leave. This dress has also proven to be one of the most popular things I've ever worn - and it's still available!
I ordered this dress for a wedding. I loved the dress but did not love the how I looked on the night of the actual wedding. The look I was going for was captured in these photos and I was disappointed I didn't capture it when I wore it.
I snagged this plaid cardigan from Target when the weather was still warm, and then we had a burst of chilly weather (it was colder in October than it has been most of December!)
Pure Barre is my new fitness obsession. In all honesty, I kind of expected that after a month, I would give it up, but I'm headed towards month 3 and I'm still going strong! I was very excited to collaborate on a post with my local studio, Pure Barre WIlmington.
I absolutely love this faux fur snood. I wanted one last year but never picked one up. The only downside? It's currently in the 70s in NC so need for this any time soon.
These may be my favorite blog photos from the entire year. Shelby, Taylor-Rae and I had the best time, and we worked with a very talented photographer - Brittany Rowland! P.S. These PJs are the best things ever. And do you wonder how you survived without that piece of clothing? This top is seriously my new favorite.
