I'm a huge fan of Rachel Bilson -- I'd like to think we could be friends. Her style is generally effortless, something I really like. For those of you who watch Hart of Dixie, Dr. Zoe Hart's style is very similar to that of Rachel Bilson, making Bilson a perfect fit for that character.
I'm obsessed with emerald, and I love the mixture of printed pants with a bold colored top.

I really would be perfectly content with any of these pieces in my closet. Although each of these are bold pieces, they will mix and match well with staples that you already have. Purchasing these certainly would not limit you to just this one look (those pants would look fab with any color and who can really go wrong with a great pair of nude pumps?)

Hope everyone enjoyed celebrating a new year! I celebrated mine with SW and great friends, then spent time with family today, eating black-eyed peas and collard greens -- hopefully good luck for the year!
In starting off the year, I've decided to pick one word to define my year, a word to keep me focused and driven mentally, physically, and spiritually. My word for the year is going to be moment -- I am going to work on living in the moment, not worrying about past and future things. I am an avid planner, and with change looming in the future, I can't help but worry about what is to come. But this year, I am going to live in the moment.
So, what did I wear last night? Though I drew inspiration from my NYE design, I chose something a little more casual than a fully shimmering dress for my night out with friends. What's even better is that I found both my top and bottom from Forever 21 -- I got lucky!
I fell in love with the skirt when I saw it. Though I had purchased some sequined pieces to potentially wear, I couldn't turn this skirt down. It had just enough metallic and shimmer to wear for NYE, but it is definitely something I can incorporate into outfits in the future (I'll be wearing those sequined numbers too!).
I hope everyone has had a great start to a fresh new year!
P.S. What is your one word?
xoxo.
