Charleston Stripes

Happy Monday! What a weekend (and week!) we had! On Tuesday night of last week, my cousin and I flew to Atlanta for my second market trip to buy for my new store, ZIA Boutique (click here to read about my new adventure). We flew back to North Carolina on Thursday afternoon, I went back to work on Friday, and then on Saturday, Stephen and I drove down to Charleston for Shelby's stunning wedding! And on Sunday, some of my family hosted a great engagement/pre-wedding party for us. So though it was a busy week and weekend, I wouldn't have traded it for the world!
I absolutely love Charleston but Stephen and I had never been together, so it was fun to be able to do a little bit of exploring together. It was a quick trip down to the city, but grabbed a bite to eat at Poogan's Porch (get the pimiento cheese omelet!) and then wandered down to Rainbow Row and the Battery. Stephen loves history, so it was fun to read the plaques on some of the gorgeous houses and learn a little bit more about the city's history and charm.

I snagged this dress before my bachelorette trip thinking I would wear it on my flight to Nashville but changed plans last minute. However, I'm so glad I bought it because I can already see myself wearing it all the time! Target also has a couple of similar dress here and here that are under $30, and I'm loving this version, too!
