This dress has been a style experiment for me. When I saw it online, the material appeared to look dressier, and I purchased it for an outdoor garden wedding. When I took it out of the box, it was not as impressing, but I still loved the open back detail and flowy shape, perfect for a hot summer wedding. I styled it with heels, dressy jewelry, and bright lips and when I walked out the door, I liked the combo. In photos from the wedding, however, I was unimpressed with the ensemble, and I wished I had chosen something differently.
I didn't want to give up on the dress, though, so I decided to style it a little differently, this time with lace up sandals, messy hair, and more chunky jewelry. This time, I loved it a lot more, and going forward, I'll wear this as more of a casual dress. It's the kind of dress that's perfect for vacation, for a dinner by the beach or even thrown over a swimsuit. It's also perfect for our upcoming trip, so I'll be packing it in my suitcase for sure. P.S. I first wore these sandals in this post, and they are seriously the greatest. They come in a variety of colors, and I know they'll get so much wear over the next few months of summer.
