One Dress, Two Ways

ASOS dressheels, similar black clutch, Burberry sunglasses c/o Ditto, MAC lipstick in Cockney, Sheila Fajl earrings

Where oh where did this long weekend go? Already wishing for the next one. On Friday, I enjoyed sleeping in a little, watching The Today Show (one of my favorite morning routines that I no longer do due to my work schedule), and then headed out to sit by the pool with my fam and Stephen for most of the day. Spending the day outside is one of my favorite past times, so I loved soaking up the sun and watching Sophie play in the pool. My best friend who lives in Oklahoma also flew back home for the weekend, so I went to dinner with her and her parents on Friday night - the hours we spend catching up always fly by!

Saturday morning, I headed back to Pure Barre and spent the rest of the day running errands with my mom and sister - time well spent and very enjoyed for sure. Easter Sunday was spent with a glorious church service - one fitting for both Easter and a time in my life as well - and we headed to lunch afterwards with my grandparents and aunt and uncle. Stephen and I also decided to watch Allegiant Sunday evening - I personally like the Divergent series so I was glad to catch this one.

If I say it once, I say it a million times - I love versatile pieces. I love something that can take me from work to play seamlessly. I'm also out and about for work, and heels aren't always the most practical option, so I like choosing pieces where I can switch out shoes during the day depending on what my schedule is like. When I saw this dress, I knew I couldn't resist - it was at an incredible price point (under $30) so I snagged it immediately. I paired it with my go-to black pumps.

I've been going back and forth on a denim jacket for awhile and finally decided to add one back into my wardrobe. I chose this one from ASOS and have not been disappointed. I also kicked off heels for my trusty Tory Miller sandals - if you are looking for a great flip flop that is a little less casual, these are a great option that I've found to be comfortable as well. I know I'll be opting for this version of the look throughout the summer.

Just a few days ago, this dress was available in all sizes but they have quickly dwindled down, so I'm sharing a few similar polka dot favorites.
