Snow Day

It started snowing outside the Queen City yesterday around 1:30. We had just finished lunch, and I was beside myself seeing snow fall out of the sky. But, snow days mean something a little bit different when you're out of college. Because I live by myself and my boyfriend lives about 45 minutes away (which could be a dangerous distance on a snow day in the South...), my snow afternoon was spent curled up in front of the fire place while watching way too many episodes of Castle. Plus, baby pup is at home with my parents this week, so I was certainly not going to go play in the snow alone. But to be completely honest, I was content to sit inside and watch from a far.

It's back to work for me today (on delay), but my cup of coffee, a vanilla candle, and snowy grounds will keep me content.

Stay safe out there!

P.S. Don't you love allllll the snow we got? The news this morning said .6 of an inch, a blizzard of course!

  1. Everyone is getting snow this winter! Pretty pictures!

  2. Love these pictures. Although I live in NYC now and have seen plenty of snow already this year, being in Charlotte for this major snowfall made me nostalgic for the high school snow days and southern-living! Nothing quite beats the magic of snow in the south!!!

  3. We were delayed 2 hours today bc of the snow - I didn't think we were going to get more than an inch! It's pretty but i'm ready for Spring!

  4. YAY! Love a snow day of any kind!!! xx

  5. ahh i kind of hate snow so i'm not very jealous of your snow day, I live in sunny st george for a reason! but it does sound nice to just sit next to the fire and enjoy the snow from the inside of your house!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love reading each comment and try to respond to each one via email!
