It's so hard to believe our baby is two! A couple of weekends ago, we celebrated a few days early with a pink gingham party at the farm! Old McFaye's Farm is located just outside of Wilmington and is the perfect location for any farm-loving littles. We went to a birthday party there a few months back and Virginia Parker loved it, so it seemed like the perfect spot to celebrate her!
The farm allows the kids to feed the animals - including goats, pigs, bunnies and more, offers a pony ride, and a hay ride. Everyone had two hours to explore, play and celebrate and while rain had been in the forecast all week, it ended up being the most beautiful spring Saturday morning we could have ever asked for!
I wanted to keep things fairly simple since everything was outside but also create a fun, girly birthday party so I accented with pink details to match her party invitation. I tried to do as many disposable options as possible to make for easy clean-up, so I went with plastic pink gingham tablecloths and found some plastic serving pieces at our local dollar store.
For cakes and cookies, I lucked out with my friend Graysen Pinder of Gimme Some Shugga. Graysen works for me now at ZIA, but is beyond talented and was the Season 8 Kids Baking Champion. I sent her a few ideas for cookies and she created the sweetest cookie favors as well as cupcakes and a cake. We kept the cake simple so I could add the most adorable cake topper thanks to Little Happies - they made us the perfect keepsake topper to match with our theme! LH offers custom toppers as well to match your party perfectly.
To keep food the rest of the food easy, we served some of VP's favorites: Chick-fil-a nuggets, homemade pasta salad, a fruit and veggie tray and of course Uncrustables and pouches for the children.
We couldn't have asked for a prettier day to celebrate with friends and family!

We are two months in with our sweet Virginia Parker and we have certainly found some must-haves that we use on a daily basis! When I was registering for baby items, the process was so overwhelming because I knew there was a good chance that there would be certain things that worked and didn't work for us. Sure enough, there were some "must-haves" that we don't use that much and some other items that ended up surprising us.

- Swaddles - when we first brought VP home, we opted for the coveted Ollie swaddle. One night, it was in the laundry room so we decided to give our Halo swaddle a try and that has now become our favorite! While the Ollie was perfect for the first few weeks, I like that the Halo also doubles as a sleep sack and she can continue to use it.
- Bottles - I would highly recommend getting a bottle sampler through Babylist. I honestly thought Dr. Brown's was going to be our favorite but we found that she spit up more frequently with those. We are lucky that she will take just about any bottle we've offered, so we tried each bottle in the pack and the Comotomo and Herobility bottles have ended up being our favorite! I had never heard of either so I'm glad we gave the pack a try.
- Pacifiers - There are so many pacifiers out there to choose from. She was given a paci in the NICU, so for the first few days home, we continued to offer her that one. One night, I was going through her things and pulled out the MAM newborn pacis - since then, that is her number one choice! We've offered a few others but she only tends to want that one and we definitely have them scattered around the house and in our diaper bag.
- Pajamas - Stephen and I both love the Magnetic Me pajamas. We have some amazing gowns by Angel Dear and Kissy Kissy that she wore when she first came home, but we've found that she sleeps the best in the Magnetic Me and they are also a game-changer for those middle of the night diaper changes. We prefer the modal over the cotton.
- Stroller & Car Seat - We are really enjoying our car seat and stroller combo! The Pipa Lite attaches seamlessly to the Tavo stroller with no attachments which is perfect for her current size. The only thing I wish the stroller offered was a parent-facing seat option without having to use the car seat. Other than that, we have loved it! We also rarely go anywhere without her stroller fan! It was a baby shower gift that I took with me to the hospital and it was perfect for labor as well. Since it's summertime, we take it with us every time we leave the house - just in case!
- Loungers - We have absolutely loved the Dock-a-Tot, Boppy Lounger, and Fisher Price Bouncy Seat. We use each of them daily!
- Blankets & Swaddles - When we're headed out, I always grab our buggy blanket from Beaufort Bonnet. We also really love the Copper Pearl swaddles - we use just as blankets!

Even if you're not interested in the royals, it has been pretty difficult to miss seeing or hearing coverage about Will, Kate, and the baby this week. I, for one, have loved every minute of it.
What is it about the Royal Family that is so interesting? I love that William and Kate are so relatable. Kate wears high-end fashion, but dresses in affordable looks as well. Will serves his country in the RAF. When together, they seem so happy, at ease, and in love. And now, they have a beautiful new son.
They were the picture of perfection today when showing their son to the world outside of St. Mary's Hospital. Kate was absolutely glowing, and William definitely seemed to be the epitome of a proud papa.

Kate obviously knew this was an INCREDIBLE moment for England and even the rest of the world, so I'm sure she took that into account when getting ready for the big debut. But what I love most about her look is how simple and classy she looked -- and she delivered a baby just yesterday!
She wore a Jenny Packham polka-dotted cornflower blue dress with simple cap sleeves. The dress was designed exclusively for Kate -- and according to Vanity Fair and JP brand director Blair McColl, there are no plans for the dress to be made for public sale. Though I'm sure so many royal fans would love to have a dress just like Kate's, I love that the designer made it especially for her -- what a special memento for one of the most special moments in her life.
It is also an incredible thing to see pictures of both Kate and Diana side-by-side. Both left the hospital wearing polka-dotted dresses -- and whether it was intentional or not, it seems as though Kate honored Princess Diana's memory by her wardrobe choice.
The interview between the new parents and the media (Will quipped that he's glad his son has more hair) was adorable, and it is so exciting to follow this young family's story!
No longer is it the #GreatKateWait -- now it's the #GreatNameWait!
Looking forward to hearing the name of this royal baby!
What do you think about the royal coverage, Kate and Will, and of course, the royal baby?

The Royal Baby Watch is at its highest peak! With the royal baby expected any day now, everyone is anxiously awaiting his or her birth. But, let's not forget the mother-to-be!
Class. That's the best way to describe Kate Middleton. She exudes it in everything she does, and I absolutely love that. She is definitely one of my fashion icons because her looks are always so timeless. Each time she steps out -- whether it is for an official event or a late afternoon walk at home with her dog -- she looks flawless.
Kate's pregnancy has not interrupted that. Despite early sickness, she has still managed to look great every time she is in the public eye.
