"You look like the Fourth of July! Makes me want a hot dog real bad." Anyone else shamelessly watch Legally Blonde 2? For some reason, that kept replaying in my head as we were taking these photos. I purchased this dress for an upcoming vacation, but knew I needed to wear it before then. I wore it to the Miss North Carolina's Outstanding Teen finals in the afternoon, but realized it was the perfect dressier 4th of July look as well.
The cutout is such a fun feature, and I love that it gives off a retro feel. It's so different than what I often go for, and I rarely wear anything that is a midi style, so when I saw this, I knew it would be a fun addition to my closet that I didn't already have. I would love to wear it with a pair of espadrilles like these as well.
It really is hard to believe that 4th of July weekend is almost here. I feel like we're heavy into summer when the day rolls around, and I'm not wanting summer to end anytime soon. And on a serious note - I am so thankful for this day that celebrates our country and for those who fight to defend our freedom both at home and abroad. God Bless the U.S.A.
