White for Spring

Whether you're a bride, getting ready to graduate, or just love to wear white, there are so many gorgeous options for a variety of occasions that are perfect in the warmer weather. I've always loved wearing white but find that I rarely purchase the color, but for brides and graduates in particular, this time of year is perfect for finding that white dress. Today, three of my girlfriends are sharing what they want out of an all-white look.

From the bride, Hillary
I had the honor of being a part of my friend Hillary's engagement to long time boyfriend Allen (see pictures here). She is now taking on the role of bride and planning her style throughout her engagement.
I definitely want to take any advantage to wear white throughout this season of my life! But I definitely want to stay true to my style and wear more non-traditional pieces. I loved Lauren Conrad's chic lace top and pants combo that she wore during NYFW, so I want to put my own spin on something similar for one of my bridal events. I also love boho pieces, and my sister actually bought me this dress after I got engaged - I'm thinking rehearsal dinner or maybe even bachelorette party?! I've always loved wearing white but don't always do so, so I am looking forward to exploring this side of my style.

From the graduate, Morgan
My friend Morgan graduated from N.C. State University in December and is now working full-time in Washington, D.C. She has great style no matter the event, so I was excited to see what she would pick for graduation. Even though Morgan graduated in chillier weather, she picked a dress that is easily transitional into spring.
I knew I wanted to wear white for graduation because to me white is simple and traditional. I wanted something a little more sophisticated since graduation is kind of a coming of age moment and marks the major transition into the real world. I also wanted my dress to be able to go from ceremony to cocktails so it had to be a little fun too! That's where the cutouts came into play. I knew the dress I chose would be a part of memories and pictures that I would have forever so I put a lot of time into selecting one.

From the fashionista, Sabrina
I've always loved my friend Sabrina's style - it is always effortless and chic and she can pull off looks that I never can. She often picks a lot of great white pieces for spring and summer that have a boho-inspiration.
Wearing white in the summer just makes sense - it keeps you cool and light, and it brings out my tan. It also brightens any mood that I'm in, so it's perfect for most any occasion. When looking for white pieces, I love low backs and loose fitting flowy white dresses. They're perfectly comfortable in summer heat and are perfect to spend the day outside. I love the flow of this ASOS dress and the crochet detailing on this one
