Happy April! Where did March go? I'm still in awe of how quickly 2016 is flying by. I'm excited to share my second volume of coffee date, where I answer some frequently asked questions and share some of my favorite tidbits. I have also been slowly but surely crossing off my 101 in 1,001 list items, so head over here to check on the updates.
1. If you could go anywhere in the world but had to do it by yourself, would you go, and if so, where?
Such a fun question - I absolutely would. I would much rather travel with a sidekick, but if I had the opportunity to travel anywhere I desired but it had to be alone, I would still go. I would choose Ireland - I have an Irish heritage and it's a place my grandmother and I always said we would visit together. I would love to visit the Cliffs of Moher and the Blarney Castley, among many other beautiful landmarks.
2. What is your favorite lipstick?
It depends on the season, but my go-to for lipstick is MAC - I love Cockney and Candy Yum-Yum. I always apply Rosebud Salve before I apply my lipstick for a more glossy feel.
3. If you could only choose one brand to sum up your style, what would you choose?
This is a tough one, because I sometimes feel like my style is all over the place. But I am absolutely loving the new Draper James line - it is so quintessentially Southern, which I absolutely love.
Draper James Faves:
4. Who is your style icon?
Reese Witherspoon. She's also behind the Draper James line, but I have always admired her classic style - pretty silhouettes, bold prints, sophistication.
5. Who takes your photos?
Stephen and my mom primarily take my photos - but I have a great little sister and friends who help on occasion too. So thankful for them!
6. What is ALS?
This is non-blog/fashion related but a very important cause dear to my heart, and a question I get asked about frequently.. Amniotrophic lateral sclerosis is a motor-neuron disease, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, that affects its victims' ability to move their muscles. Getting the diagnosis of ALS is more often than not a death sentence, and it's what took my grandmother's life. I am raising money for Walk to Defeat ALS, so if you feel compelled to donate, follow the link here. Money raised not only goes towards research for a cure but also to help those who are currently inflicted with the disease. #DefeatALS #TeamNonny. Read more about my sweet Non here.
