I've seen this going around my favorite blogs and decided I would share a little bit about myself. I love getting to know people behind my favorite blogs, and I feel like I rarely share a lot of personal things, so here's to getting to know a little more about me.
Name - Age - Location
Zelle is my middle name and the name I go by -- and for those wondering, it rhymes with Belle. I'm 23 and though I always call Wilmington home, I just recently moved back to Raleigh (after a short stint in the Charlotte area), which is also where I spent my college years.Name - Age - Location
Other Half
Stephen and I met in college, and I am so thankful that we did. He grew up with some friends of mine, and we eventually met. We are coming up on four years of dating, and he makes my heart so happy. He has been my biggest fan, fellow adventurer, and it's nice to always have a wedding date that isn't afraid to get on the dance floor. He's also pretty good blog photographer if you ask me.
Working It
Though a blogger by night, I work in marketing/advertising by day. I work for a great, small-knit company that specializes in full-service advertising and marketing. It is fun to go to work every day, and though some days stressful or hard, I am thankful to work with such a great group of people.
Loves of Life
This blog has easily become one of my favorite hobbies. But I also love going home to Wilmington to spend my days and evenings by the water with my family, finding new things to do here in the Capital area with friends, and playing with the most perfect puppy in the entire world.
Favorite Food
Mashed potatoes. Cheese fries. Cake. Cookies. You know, all the healthy Southern stuff that you're supposed to eat. But really though, I am trying to get back towards a healthy eating lifestyle. Any great recipes are definitely accepted.
Standard Bar Order
Definitely depends on my mood, but as of late, I've realized that I can't go wrong with a glass of white zin or riesling. You should also try a Dirty Shirley -- the grown-up version of a Shirley Temple.
Places I Shop
Lately, I've been doing [too much] shopping online. Though I like to order from Nordstrom, Zara, etc., I've also been finding some boutiques that have offer such great pieces.
Beauty Products I Can't Live Without
Olay's Luminous Regenerist is my go-to after I wash my face at night and again first thing in the morning. I also love my Bobbi Brown bronzer and Dior's Lip Glow -- perfect beauty basics.
Bed-Time & Wake-up
This is one aspect I really need to work on. I try to get in bed somewhere between 10 and 11, though it's frequently after that. As far as wake-up time, 7am is what I am for, though I may or may not snooze on occasion.
What I Blog About
When I first started blogging, my intentions were to focus on style and beauty, and I've mostly stayed true to that. I also love sharing a favorite recipe or interior design, so you may find that too. As of late, I've loved sharing my style posts. Those are the posts I most look forward to, though I'll be the first to admit those are the hardest to plan for.
How I started Blogging/Why I Blog
I remember the day I started blogging to a T. I was home for Christmas break and getting ready to go have lunch with family. I had come across a few blogs here and there, and for some reason, I decided I should have one too. For about a year, I posted sometimes a couple of times a week, or maybe only a couple of times a month. About a year ago, I decided that I really wanted to be consistent, and it became something I looked forward to -- my own little hiatus away from the real world. I love how much it has grown, and I can't wait to see where it will go. I'm so thankful for everyone who visits, whether it's just once or every single day!
This will be the last week of Trending Tuesday for awhile. Thanks for linking up with us, sharing your favorite trends, and supporting our blogs!
