Palm Shorts + Staycation

One of the things on my 101 in 1,001 list was to have a staycation. In some senses, I feel like we do that every summer as we move into the beach house with our family, whether it's for a night or two or a couple of weeks. However, this weekend, Steve and I decided to head over late Friday night and we spent the weekend with absolutely no plans.

It was so nice to still be in our town which allowed me to pop into the store for a quick second to drop off a few things and have the luxury of being nearby if we forgot anything, but we ultimately treated the last few days like a vacation. On Saturday, we cooked breakfast together, took Sophie on a walk around the loop and then spent the rest of the day outside. My brother and his girlfriend came into town so we spent the afternoon with them along with grabbing dinner. Then it was a lazy Saturday night in watching movies.

On Sunday, we did break out of our Wrightsville Beach bubble and go to Wallace to play some golf at River Landing, and by play golf, I mean my brother and Stephen played while Morgan and I drove the carts. It was fun spending time with them again and then once we got back into town, we made an impromptu decision to go see the new Avengers movie (if you've seen it, how about that ending?!) It's safe to say I'm sad to see this weekend go, but I am excited for a summer full of more just like them.

Speaking of staycations, these adorable shorts give me all of the heart eyes! Anyone who knows me knows I can't get enough of a cute pair of palm print shorts, and these are seriously the cutest. I love everything that's part of the new Show Me Your Mumu x Barbie collection, but I couldn't resist these as I've worn my other Mumu shorts so many times.

I also feel like I could have easily loved being a part of the Jackie O. era - these big white sunglasses? Yes, please.
