Today, I'm very excited to introduce to you one of my favorite local businesses, Gathered Group. Gathered is based out of Wilmington, North Carolina as an interior design group but what is wonderful is that they also have a storefront. I don't think I've ever walked into Gathered and not left with at least a little something!
Back when I opened ZIA, Morgan, Gathered's manager, reached out to see if there were any ways they could support the opening. We brainstormed and came up with having a pop-up here at ZIA when I opened, so they brought some of their beautiful pieces to showcase. Ever since then, I've considered both Morgan and Lindsey Cheek, Gathered's owner and designer, to be friends. Lindsey has become a bit of a mentor for me as she has been through the opening of a store, etc.
Lindsey and Morgan popped by my house this week to style my console with some gorgeous pieces from the shop! I literally want everything and was taking notes the whole time as to what they were doing and why. I don't necessarily think that my eye is bad, per se, but it is definitely nice to have the professionals come in and help me out.
The first few photos are before photos taken with my iPhone, and then I'll share the step-by-step to creating a perfect table!
+ Step 1: Place Lamps - Lindsey chose these blue lamps to pull color into the room which also tied into the rug I already have.
+ Step 2: Place box in middle to anchor the table and then a vase to balance with height.
+ Step 3: Have a little plant you love, like a cute succulent? Now's the time to add that.
+ Step 4: We have the right side done, so let's move over to the left! A gorgeous piece of art works great here, along with a candle and this olive statue.
+ Step 5: Decor and storage? Check. Add a pretty basket with your favorite throws for decor that is also practical.
+ Step 6: We've added the basket with throws to the left so adding a demijohn or large vase will help balance the other side. Welcoming beads give it some color.
+ Step 7: You know all of those coffee table books you have? You know, the ones you buy solely for decorating purposes? Let's add those. Perfect place to display!
+ Step 8: Add a piece of gorgeous artwork to the top for the perfect look.
+ Step 9: Add your dog! Seriously though, Sophie was all about having our friends over to help decorate!
Voila! We're done!
