Married & Back on Schedule!

Well friends, I'm back! The past few weeks have been a serious whirlwind and will continue to be and it was nice to take a little step back from the blog to enjoy our wedding, our first week of marriage, and then our honeymoon. After an incredible trip to St. Lucia (more on that later), we're back in Wilmington and tomorrow means it's officially back to work for both Stephen and I.

I'm going to be sharing details from various parts of our wedding and honeymoon, but thought I would share a little overview from the last few weeks! The months of July and August have been huge transitions for me. At the end of July, I wrapped up my full-time responsibilities as the marketing manager for my previous company, worked on finalizing wedding details, and dove head first into all things ZIA Boutique.

The week of the wedding, I did a lot of last minute wedding things: picking up signage, finalizing seating charts, pampering appointments, etc. I chose not to have a wedding planner (which I honestly regretted by the end), but thanks to awesome vendors, an incredible week-of coordinator, and great friends and family, I did love seeing my vision come together on the day Stephen and I said I do.

I kicked of fwedding weekend with a great bridesmaids' luncheon hosted by one of my Matrons of Honor and her sweet mama, which was followed by a fun dry bar appointment, our ceremony rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner. I kissed Stephen goodnight for the last time on Friday evening as Zelle Brown, and the next time I saw him, I was walking down the aisle!

Our wedding was a blur but a day I will treasure forever! I felt so overwhelmed each of hour of the day but in the best possible way. I don't think I was able to stop smiling. Getting ready with my girlfriends was so fun (I wore this romper and robe and my bridesmaids wore this one), Stephen and I said our vows in a wonderful ceremony, and we danced the night away with friends and family.

We took the next week to spend to get settled (Stephen moved into our house that week) and pack for our honeymoon as well as celebrate two of our friends' wedding as well. And then, on Sunday at 3am we finally got back home to our house after the best week in paradise.

I can't wait to share everything about our wedding in more detail, but here are a few snaps for now. Our photographer - Kate Supa - is a rockstar and already has our wedding photos done so I will be sharing various parts of our day in the coming weeks. What I love about the photo that she captured below is that it was right after we walked down the aisle and I remember looking at Stephen and saying, "We're married!" It was such a surreal feeling and one I will treasure forever.
