Wedding Wednesday: 6 Weeks Away

How in the world are we only 6 weeks away from the wedding?! We've been engaged for 10 months but in so many ways I feel like Stephen just proposed. Instead, we're in the short rows of this whole wedding planning thing!

I have kicked my organization into high gear because between work, the store opening, and the wedding, I realized my brain just couldn't handle the overload. I put together a week-by-week checklist of things to accomplish, and though it's a little scary the amount of things we have left, it's definitely helped me prioritize what's left on our to-do list.

A few things recently checked off:

Picked out and ordered tuxes
Ordered bridesmaid gifts
Bridal portraits taken
Had first fitting for rehearsal dinner dress
Designed wedding favors
Designed welcome bags
Mailed Invitations!

Speaking of invitations, I am very excited about an invitation keepsake that we'll not only display at the wedding but also at our home. Genny of Genevieve Hayes Gifts designs incredible keepsakes complete with beautiful ribbon embroidery. Genny, whom I first met when I was in high school, hand-crafts silk ribbon flowers, leaves, and more to create something personalized for you to remember your special day. I mailed her an invitation a few months back along with what our theme for the wedding is and she sent back an inspiration board, as she wanted the design to match the vision of the wedding.

She let me know I could make any changes necessary but she seriously nailed it with the first inspo board! I can't wait to share the final product, but here's a sneak peek of the design she is currently working on. I know it'll be something I treasure forever.
