Happy Monday! My schedule has been in full-force these last few weeks. I've been working on a new project that I'm hoping to share in the next month or so, which has taken over a good bit of my time, making me a little MIA here. We also have just had so much going on! Between weddings, bridal showers and parties, and work, the weeks are flying by (and we're less than 4 months from the wedding which is just crazy.
Life Lately:
+ So on Sunday, I tried to work on building a new retaining wall for my front yard. My yard slopes to the side, and last summer I put in a flower bed that has now eroded. I decided that for this summer, I really want to have a cute yard so a retaining wall is pretty much the only option to help with the sloping. My mom and I picked out over-sized cement bricks to create the look and I decided I would just start the project myself. I thought I was doing a great job until I realized my wall was uneven and "sagging" in the middle. Stephen got there and pretty much had to undo everything I did. So much for my DIY! + This coming weekend, SW and I will be heading to Boone for a friend's wedding. I haven't been to Boone in the spring so I'm excited for a roadtrip and to see our friends say I do!

+ I've also been working on my front porch - I found a small set of topiaries, potted two hydrangeas, and then purchased a gardenia (which is now blooming!). I do want to get some great porch furniture - a fun porch swing and some great rockers. How gorgeous is the photo above?!
Loving Lately:
I have stayed true (for the most part) to my shopping hiatus in honor of lent. It's been difficult at times but at the same time, it's been nice taking a break from the unnecessary spending. I have, however, had my eye on some perfect pieces.

Who am I kidding... I haven't been cooking at all. BUT I have been pinning some new recipes that I'm excited to try!
