Coffee Date: Volume 7

September already? August was certainly good to us - the highlight? Stephen and I getting engaged, of course! We're starting the wedding planning process which is really exciting, and I'll be sharing some of the process here on the blog. My family kicked off September with a Labor Day trip to New York, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I was not the best blogger while I was there - I planned on taking outfit photos, and we snapped a few the first full day, though I'm not sure I'll ever share them because I looked...interesting...in most of them. I ultimately decided I wanted to just enjoy the trip sans camera, and I'm really glad I did. So for now, I'm back with another volume of Coffee Date.

1. How did Stephen propose?
He proposed at my grandmother's beach house at sunset! You can read about that here.

2. Have you picked a date?
This has been asked probably 89034 times since we got engaged, but it's safe to say it doesn't bother me. Picking a venue and date has been the most stressful part - only because we don't want to wait more than a year to get married, and apparently everyone else wants to get married in 2017 as well! But after some back and forth, I think we will be getting married in August 2017.

3. I'm looking for a pair of booties - any suggestions?
I just snagged this Vince Camuto pair a few weeks ago and I love them. They work great with a romper while it's still hot but I can't wait to pair them with skinny jeans.

4. What is your go-to lip product?
For everyday wear, I just recently started wearing Bobbi Brown's Ruby Sugar thanks to one of my best gals. I unfortunately think I dropped it at the Mets game when we were in NYC as it's nowhere to be found, so I've got to snag a new tube ASAP.

5. What's your go-to for fall?
During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I picked up a utility jacket (similar here) since I'd been wanting one for awhile. I wore it for the first time on Labor Day for our flight back home from New York, and it's safe to say I'm glad I have this staple in my closet. I wore it with a white v-neck tee and denim shorts but it'll definitely be a go-to when the weather cools down.
