Poolside

cover-up, sunnies (under $100), sandals, earrings

What a great weekend! I didn't have too many concrete plans, and that's pretty nice for a weekend with a beautiful forecast. I started off Saturday with a morning Pure Barre session, a quick trip to Barnes and Noble - another book review coming soon - took my car to get serviced and inspected (no fun, but #adulting), and spent the rest of the day poolside with one of my best friends followed by a date night with Stephen. Sunday was another day full of sunshine - church, lunch with the family, and some planting outdoors (more #adulting, but Stephen helped a lot with getting some more plants in the ground outside my house). And of course - a couple more hours in the sun. Definitely hoping the "Sunday well-spent brings a week of content" mantra holds true.

I snagged this fun cover-up a few weeks back from ASOS, and I just love it! It has such fun bell sleeves, is super light-weight, which is a necessity for Southern summers, and has a unique color that reminds me a bit of a towel. Stephen always jokes that anything off-the-shoulder looks like a bath towel, but I was sold on it anyway. Also - how adorable are these shell earrings? They'd make a perfect gift for your best friend or as a treat for yourself.

P.S. I absolutely love being in the sun, but protecting my skin is incredibly important to me. I've been using both SunBum SPF 50 on my face as well as my itCosmetics CC cream if I'm wanting a little makeup (and it also is SPF 50). If you're wanting to try the CC cream, I wear the color Light!
