What's In My Bag

What's one thing I can't leave home without? My bag - that classifies as one, right? But seriously - most every item in my bag is something I use at least once a day. I purchased the Louis Vuitton Neverfull last fall while in New York, and I was afraid I would have buyer's remorse. It's safe to say that has not been the case, and it's the one bag I haven't tired of after a month or two of using it. I wanted an LV in high school, but my parents never gave in to that one. So after I had been working for a couple of years (and saving for this treasure), my mom and I headed over to the Louis Vuitton store where I had stars in my eyes, but I knew deep down this was the bag for me.

I've always gravitated towards totes and larger bags because I can slip in a few extra things. Though the below is what I carry with me on a day-to-day basis, my bag can hold my Pure Barre clothes for the evening if needed, bottles of water, and even my laptop. I've been really trying to keep this bag cleaned out and limit what I put in it so as not to "ruin my back," as my mom or grandmother would say. So here's what's in my bag:

Kate Spade wallet: I absolutely love this wallet. I would love to get an LV one to match my bag, but I've been quite content with this Kate Spade one and the color compliments my bag's interior perfectly. In the past, I had been using larger, oversized wallets, but I found them to be cumbersome and too often filled to the brim, so I downsized and couldn't love this option more. It also fits in most of my crossbody bags, which is a huge positive so I'm not constantly switching my cards and license in and out of a variety of things. If you're looking for a new wallet, I would recommend this!
Small cosmetic bag: How cute is this bag from Target? The size is perfect for the variety of lip products I keep inside and is a great price too. I love the lemon print for spring and summer.

Rosebud Salve: One of my friends told me about this product several years ago, and it's one of the few lip products I've used until it was completely gone. My lips get dry in the winter and sunburned in the summer, so I layer this on multiple times a day. It also makes a great base for underneath lipstick for a silkier feel.
Vaseline Lip Therapy in Rose Bud: I love this stuff! I found out about it at the Create + Cultivate conference, and I now have about 6 containers of it that are scattered throughout my bag, bedside table, work, etc. I am partial to the Rose Bud, as it offers a little bit of pink shade to your lips.

MAC Lip Color: I actually have more than just this one lipstick in my bag, but a MAC is generally what I gravitate towards. I layer on either the Rosebud Salve or Lip Therapy and then apply a light coat of lipstick, and it's the perfect mix for work.

Clinique Chubby Stick: This is another lip product that is perfect for work. If you're looking for a bold lip, this isn't the best option, but I find myself using this one frequently during the week.
iPhone: I have an iPhone 6 and love it! I've thought about sizing up to the Plus, but I honestly like the slim, more compact look of the 6. I'm a huge fan of the Sonix phone cases and just recently retired my Shelly case to this Bahamas version. I do also have a glass screen protector on my phone as well (I shattered my 5s about three weeks before the 6s came out - and that was with a case on it - so I'm trying really hard not to make that mistake again.)

Ray-Ban Sunnies: One of my friends had the Erika sunglasses and I've been in love with them for so long, so when I saw they were part of the Shopbop sale, I couldn't pass them up! I've had them for about a week and I'm loving them so far!

Kate Spade business card holder: Stephen gave me this for Christmas, and it's the perfect card holder. I keep both my blog and work cards in there. I designed my business cards myself as I wanted something very simple, and then I ordered the luxe cards from Moo with a hot pink edge - so far, I've loved them!
