Cold Shoulder

cold shoulder top, BlankNYC dark wash denim, block heels, hobo bag c/o Charming Charlie, Ray-Ban sunnies

Happy Monday! Another weekend that has come and gone. It was very chilly and windy here in North Carolina, so I'm hoping for a warm-up in temperatures and more beach-like weather in the coming days. If you follow along on Insta or Snapchat, you may have seen that I participated in a few North Carolina Azalea Festival events.

The NC Azalea Festival is a huge event that is full of beautiful blooms, celebrities, concerts, Azalea belles, garden parties, and more. I've had the opportunity in participating in the NCAF a variety of times - as an Azalea belle, the NC Azalea Festival Princess, and also served twice on the Queen's Court, which is selected from the group of girls who are going to be competing in Miss NC that year. It's safe to say that the Azalea Festival has a very special place in my heart, and I hope to continue to give back and perhaps one day be on the Azalea Festival Board.

Stephen and I attended the Avett Brothers concert, who were one of the headlining groups for the festival. I chose this cold shoulder top, these jeans, and a pair of wedges, and I absolutely loved my outfit. It was perfect for the 70 degree weather we had during the day, but as soon as the sun set, I was majorly regretting my choice. Luckily, Stephen had a windbreaker in his car and I was perfectly fine embracing it -- men's oversized windbreakers are the new spring necessity is what I've heard... I can't wait until I can pair this top with my favorite shorts for summer.

P.S. How adorable is this woven boho bag thanks to Charming Charlie? I love the color, texture and shape, and it will be getting lots of use throughout spring and summer.
