Packing Up with Vera Bradley

Weekender tote c/o Vera Bradley, BlankNYC Denim, coat borrowed from sis (similar here and here), similar pom toboggan here (and less than $20), faux fur scarf, Sperry saltwater boots

Happy Friday! It's hard to believe a week has already passed by since our ski trip - definitely missing the gorgeous views and the skiing, believe it or not. I have been looking for a weekender bag for quite sometime that would hold a good amount of things, so when I received this gorgeous Vera Bradley bag, I was ecstatic. I also packed a rolling suitcase for some of my bigger ski gear, but this weekender held a good portion of my everyday clothes + what I needed for my overnight stay with Shelby before we left to go skiing.

The black and white colors of the bag is a change from so much of what VB created in the past - though I love the bright colors that are characteristic of the brand, there is something so classic about black and white, so the style, the print, and the size made it exactly what I was looking for.  I know I'll be using this bag every time I take a weekend trip from now on - oh, and it has a shoulder strap too - perfect for when you have a lot to carry in.

This oversized coat, denim and duck boot combo is very characteristic of what I wore in the mountains when I wasn't in my ski gear. Luckily, I have a sweet little sister who was willing to lend me her white faux fur hood coat. I've always loved it and was glad she let me borrow it. I have been wanting a pair of duck boots for awhile, but the classic L.L. Bean boots are very hard to get your hands on unless you pre-order them well before you want them. I was happy to find the Sperry version, and though I've never owned a pair of duck boots other than these, I have no disappointments at all! My feet did get a little chilly if I was in the snow for a very long time, but especially for the road trip and walking from once place to another, they kept my feet perfectly dry and were comfortable to wear all day long.

I'm also a new fan of Blank NYC denim - I purchased these jeans on a recommendation from friends and they are now a new favorite - chic and a great price point. P.S. The beanie I'm wearing in these photos is one that I borrowed from my friend Hillary, but I loved it so much that I purchased this one, which is very similar. And such a steal, too!

Have a great weekend!
