Bedroom Tour

Happy Friday! Today, I'm sharing a peek into my bedroom - there are still so many things I would love to do! When I moved back to Wilmington, I moved into a home my parents were renting out that is also right next to their house. I love being here and the convenience of being right with my family, but I also don't know if I'll stay here for another year or another several years. Because of that, I'm holding off on any huge purchases that may not work in other spaces. P.S. another great thing about living right next to my parents? They babysit Sophie pup every day so she doesn't have to be all alone!

When I first moved back, I did make some new purchases for my room, including this headboard and this comforter. I wanted a upholstered headboard for awhile before I finally decided to buy this one, and I could not be happier with it. Such I have a comforter insert that I sleep with every night because it's oh so cozy, but this comforter goes on top when I make my bed. It's a win-win -- my bed is cozy, but the top comforter doesn't get dingy from overuse.

Stephen's parents gave me this bench for Christmas and I just love it. I have wanted a end-of-bed bench for quite sometime, and I had seen this one online but never purchased it. Imagine my surprise when I opened it! It's also a great price, so if you're looking for a bench for your home, this one is less than $100. The rest of my furniture is made up of mix and match pieces -- my white dresser from high school, mirrored (mismatched) side tables, an oversized mirror from Home Goods, etc. Home Goods has been my go-to in my home decorating -- in my first apartment, my second (living room tour and bedroom tour), and now here.

Before I started working at my first full-time job after college, I interned with the incredible Liz Harris Carroll of Liz Carroll Interiors. Her designs are absolutely amazing, and I am still to this day inspired by her work. I look to her interiors for inspiration and I want to share more interior design  (my own, my inspiration, design pieces, etc.) here on Southern Style, so stay tuned!
