Weekending

top: c/o Charming Charlie, denim: c/o Volcom, hat: Target (similar), sunglasses: Banana Republic (similar)

Is it just me or is the Monday after Christmas always a difficult one?! I absolutely loved my time spent at home with my family (luckily, I live right next door to my parents so I see them often), but there's still something so special about the holidays. I had one brief breakdown about my Nonny not being here this Christmas, but I felt her spirit so much throughout the holidays and I'm thankful she has a front row seat in heaven.

I love neutrals, so I paired this adorable pleated-back top from Charming Charlie's with a trusty pair of black denim and my new Tory Burch boots - which I'm slowly but surely breaking in. We've also had some unusually warm weather here in NC -- I'm talking flip flops + 80 degree temperatures. It made for an interesting feeling on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but it was nice to spend some time outside on that same note.

We also celebrated my boyfriend Stephen's 25th birthday - I love him to pieces and it's so fun to have a day just to celebrate him. He is my best friend, accepts my crazy ideas and love for cheesy romance movies, has the best sense of humor, loves me for me, and willingly (well, sometimes) spends a sunny day helping me with blog pictures instead of golfing. Happy Birthday, Stephen - so glad you're mine!

P.S. I'm definitely still holding on to the holiday season. With less than a week until New Year's, I'm watching every Christmas movie I can find on the Hallmark channel. I hope you had the most wonderful time with those you love most!
