Winter Wonderland

coat: Ivanka Trump (similar), pants: Michael Kors, booties: Aldo (on sale and in black!), scarf: Nordstrom Rack (similar), gloves: Target, sunglasses: Burberry

Winter has struck North Carolina, for sure! I had Monday off, but I headed back from my hometown a little earlier than I usually do in hopes of beating the winter weather, and it met me as I arrived back into town. What started out as pretty snow quickly turned into a mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. I woke up to a world of white, but it wasn't snow -- instead, a sheet of ice. I was able to work from home, which was great, because I was a little nervous to drive in the icy conditions. Most of NC was shut down yesterday, and many school systems are closed again today, and reports are saying we may get a dusting of snow, and temperatures will be around 0 degrees tomorrow night. Of course, this is nothing like our friends in the northeast have been hit with the past few weeks, but for North Carolina, it's been uncharacteristic for sure.

I picked up this coat on a trip to NYC a year or so ago, and I'm thankful I have it on these incredibly chilly days. My blanket scarf is of course my favorite for the season, and I was able to snag the last pair of these gloves when we had a chilly bout of weather a little while back. It's going to be a chilly few days, and I'm getting pretty ready for spring, but I will admit that a little winter weather is fun every once in awhile. P.S. my favorite Aldo booties are 50% off and they come in black!
